Breeding Season Underway
We're fast coming into spring and therefore the height of the breeding season. Dirk has just returned from Holland where he purchased the stunning new stallion, AEA Tuschinski (pictured at right). You can meet AEA Tuschinski at the AEA Burong performance auction in December, if not before. AEA Metallic (pictured below, being ridden by Dirk) is also eager for more stud duties. His earlier offspring are already shaping up brilliantly. His bloodlines are impeccable, and may be just what you are looking for? Read more about our stallions standing at stud or whose fresh or frozen semen is available.

Working Pupil Position Available
AEA Burong is looking for a working student who will have the opportunity to ride and train both young and experienced horses, as well as learn about breeding in our AI Breeding Centre. Full agistment for your own horse is provided, and the position is full time and live in. To be part of an inspiring, successful and dedicated team of riders and trainers please contact Dirk on 0417 527 710 or email us.
Horses For Sale
We breed and train warmblood sport horses to specialise in the disciplines of showjumping, eventing and dressage. View a list of performance horses currently for sale, or talk to us about your particular requirements. We'd be happy to source an appropriate horse, or breed one for you.
Our Vineyard
The Burong Vineyard, or Winchelsea Estate as it was called in those days, started in 1978 when a five acre trial vineyard was planted with Chardonnay and Riesling vines.
When the Dijkstra's bought Burong in 1998, more than 12 acres were producing excellent grapes for the Melbourne Wine Company and the Australian connection of Moet and Chandon.
